Ready4Life, a Cambridgeshire based business, was established to provide parents, colleges, universities, youth organisations and businesses with a selection of comprehensive training which builds confidence and prepares young adults for the transition to university or to the job market.

Professional Business woman and Trainer, Linda Thomson, created Ready4Life, in 2006.   

Linda, now living in the Cambridgeshire area, was born and raised in the United States and spent much of her childhood in Europe.

She is a dynamic and diverse business and corporate development professional, bringing over 20 years of corporate training, process improvement, coaching and mentoring experience from a wide variety of businesses, worldwide, from hi-tech software and hardware development companies, to hospital systems, call centres and traditional manufacturing organisations.

In the last 2 years Linda has been concentrating on translating this knowledge and expertise into training programs that can unleash the promise within young adults.

A passionate communicator, with boundless energy and humour, Linda is a draw for young adults, who find her easy to talk to and a great listener.

Linda holds a BA in Business and a BA in Human Resource Development. As a confidence coach, she provides personal coaching services.  Linda has Enhanced CRB Disclosure, as do all of our tutors.

Sean Davoren teaches Table Manners.  He has a friendly, warm style, putting students, of any age, at ease and making learning manners easy and fun.

Sean is the Head Butler at the Lanesborough Hotel in London, having previously worked with royalty, rock stars and politicians. “Sean Davoren believes that the most important thing is to make learning fun, and while manners are always important some of the old-fashioned Debretts-style 'rules' have no place in today's world.”

Sean has tutored Linda Thomson, who delivers the specialty Table Manners sessions, provided by Ready4Life.

Helen Barrett-Hague delivers our ‘Violence Awareness’ session.  Helen is a member of The Jitsu Foundation, active in Cambridge University teaching both Jitsu and Self Defence.

 

Students will learn the importance of being more aware of their surroundings, which will help them make smarter decision regarding their personal safety.  They will learn mental and physical techniques to help them handle threatening situations.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

Judith Elliott Chartered FCIPD delivers some of our Interview Skills workshops, along with Linda Thomson.

Berith Sandgren-Clarke delivers our ‘Confident Image’ sessions for Young Adults.  Berith’s passion for her work is infectious which makes her sessions particularly lively and very rewarding.

Born in Sweden, Berith resides in the UK and has extensive experience in the fashion industry. Part of her training included a placement with The Emanuels, who designed Princess Diana's iconic wedding dress.

Bringing over 30 years experience in teaching voice and oral communication techniques, Priscilla Morris, works along with Linda, to give young adults the ‘Loud and Clear’ advantage, during our Communication Skills workshops.  ‘Speaking well and clearly can be even more important, than how we look.’ says Priscilla.

Priscilla is an International Examiner in spoken english and public speaking for the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and author of ‘Introducing Shakespeare to Young People. Her training sessions are interactive, challenging and fun.
